My life transformed when I was hired by Kingfisher Airlines to join their Cabin Crew team among 5000 walk-ins that were interviewed that day. The interview process lasted for 3 days after a month long wait to hear ‘Please go for the medical round as a next step’. Any Cabin Crew in the world knows what it means. I later on joined Singapore Airlines and my address changed from Home to Airports.
While I grew professionally, I could’nt run away from the fact that my parents are growing older and the money I am making is not bringing any value. I do remember the day I dragged myself to this particular flight and decided to quit.
I was told it’s a mistake that I will regret for the rest of my life. I did’nt listen, nor did I plan my next step. But I always knew, success requires something rare; A very Brave Spirit.
Fast forward, last week on a sunny saturday I sat in a cafe at Piccadilly Circus, London but not as a Cabin Crew…as an IT professional, Coach, Content Creator and Actor. I know if I had not taken that brave decision to quit Singapore Airlines, I would’nt have explored the possibility to follow my heart which includes being able to spend more time with family.
To everyone reading this, I am not implying you quit your job, but also don’t do it if you are dragging your feet to work. The possibilities are many if you are brave. All the best!
